Manama, March 5 (BNA) The Bahrain Basketball Association terminated the contract of national team coach Sam Vincent by mutual consent.
The former professional player took over as coach of the national basketball team in January 2020.
He led the national team that met Syria and Kazakhstan in the third and fourth rounds of the Asian qualifiers for the 2023 Basketball World Cup (Group D), which was held in Bahrain on February 24 and 27.
A statement issued by the BBA stated that a new coach will be signed to lead the national team for the remaining qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup and AFC Asian Cup to be held in July in Indonesia.
