London, July 2 (BNA): Rafael Nadal advanced to the fourth round at Wimbledon with a 6-1, 6-2, 6-4 victory over 27th seed Lorenzo Sonego.
The 22-time Grand Slam champion defeated the Italian on Central Court, according to the Associated Press.
Nadal is halfway to a year-long Grand Slam after winning the Australian Open and the French Open. The Spaniard won the All England Club title in 2008 and 2010.
The 36-year-old will then play Dutch 21st seed Bottic van de Zandschulp for a place in the quarter-finals.
