Manama, Dec. 19 (BNA): Minister of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak, received Dr. Sayed Shubar Ibrahim Al-Wada, Chairman of the Municipal Council of the Northern Region.
The meeting discussed municipal projects in the northern governorate, the plans and programs of the ministry, and in light of the new session of municipal councils, challenges and ways to improve.
Al-Mubarak stressed the ministry’s plans in the field of afforestation and improvement projects, as well as gardens, walkways and waterfront development projects.
He stressed the importance of community partnership in achieving the goal of doubling the number of trees in the Kingdom by 2035.
The minister stressed the pivotal role of municipal councils in the construction and development process and in supporting and developing municipal expertise.
Al-Wada’ praised the ministry’s continuous support for the municipal councils, and stressed the importance of strengthening relations to serve the northern governorate.
