Munich talent Stanisic gets new contract until 2025

Munich, October 15 (BNA) The German football champions said today, Friday, that Bayern Munich defender Josip Stanisic has renewed his contract for two years until 2025.

Munich-born Croatian Stanisic, 21, has entered the club’s academy and joined the first team this season and has been sent nine times, primarily as right-back. And the German news agency (dpa) reported that he also recently appeared for the first time in the Croatian national team.

“I want to thank the club for their belief in me. I will try to continue riding the wave of recent months – it has been exceptional for me and I have enjoyed every second of it,” Stanisic said in a club statement.

“My goals are very clear: I want to help the team as much as I can, so that my good performance helps us win as many titles as possible.”

Bayern Sports Board Member Hasan Salihamidzic said: “We are very happy that we were able to integrate another talent from the Bayern Munich campus into the first team, and that Josep has proven himself very quickly. He has made his way and is a great addition.”
