Multisclerosis Centre project in Muharraq on track

Manama, September 16 (BNA) Work on the Multiple Sclerosis Center project, a branch of Muharraq Medical Complex, is on track as planned.

Sheikh Mishaal bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, CEO of Governmental Hospitals, Works, Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning, inspected the Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary for Construction and Maintenance Projects.

The facility represents the first specialized and independent medical center for patients with multiple sclerosis in the Arabian Gulf region.

It includes outpatient clinics for most of the specialties that multiple sclerosis patients need such as magnetic resonance diagnosis, physical therapy, manual therapy with exercises, private and public treatment rooms, a lab and a pharmacy, in addition to a scientific research center, an auditorium, medical warehouses, service building, administrative offices and parking lots. .

Dr. Al-Ansari explained that the health sectors come at the forefront of the government’s priorities, praising His Majesty the King for his interest in upgrading services.

The Director of Operations and Services, Dr. Noor Riyadh Dhaif, and the Head of the Neurosciences Department at Salmaniya Medical Complex, Dr. Fatima Abdullah Muhammad, and other consultants and officials responsible for the projects were also present.
