Morocco to reopen airspace from Feb. 7

Rabat, Jan. 28 (BNA) The Moroccan government announced, on Thursday, the reopening of airspace for flights to and from Morocco as of February 7, 2022, MAP reported.

The government said in a statement that this decision comes in accordance with the legal provisions related to managing the state of health emergency, following up on the recommendations of the Scientific and Technical Committee, and taking into account the evolution of the epidemiological situation in the Kingdom.

The same source said that to accompany the implementation of this decision, a technical committee is currently studying the procedures that will be adopted at the border ports and the conditions required for travelers, which will be announced later.

Reiterating its appeal to citizens to continue strict adherence to all preventive measures and directives of public authorities in this regard, it calls on the government to quickly take the planned doses and complete the vaccination scheme, including the third dose, as a behavior that reflects “patriotism”.
