Morocco bans festivals, cultural, artistic events

Rabat, December 4 (BNA): Morocco has banned all festivals and all cultural and artistic events to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

“On the basis of the legal provisions related to managing the state of health emergency and strengthening the necessary preventive measures to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus, the government has decided to ban all festivals and all cultural and artistic events,” the Maghreb Press (MAP) quoted a government press release issued on Friday as saying.

“The government renews its call on citizens to strictly adhere to the national vaccination campaign and to continue the responsible commitment to take all precautionary measures in order to preserve the gains achieved and contribute to the gradual return to normal life in the Kingdom.” The statement also said.
