Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies hosts Turkish ambassador

Manama, April 13 (BNA) The second session of the (Ambassadors Council) program in its second edition, organized by the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies, was held today.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Kingdom of Bahrain Essen Çakıl. The session was moderated by Dr. Munira bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Director General of MBMA, and was attended by a number of senior officials and employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the session, the Turkish ambassador to Bahrain stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, noting the importance of the academic and training sides in the field of diplomatic work through the provision of such programs and events, which are an important platform for transferring expertise in the field of diplomatic work.

Ambassador Çakıl briefed the audience on her career during her work in the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stressing the importance of practicing diplomacy for consular work, reviewing the most prominent memories and stories that approach her heart, in addition to the challenges that diplomats of both sexes may face.

She presented a set of advice to the next generation of diplomats that she learned through experience, pointing out some of the positives and negatives that a diplomatic woman may face during her diplomatic career, which requires balancing her life and work.

She said that she was honored to represent her country in Bahrain, expressing her admiration and appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality of the Bahraini people since her appointment in March 2021.

She praised the Bahraini diplomacy and the role of women in this field, and the Kingdom’s efforts to support Bahraini women, stressing that Bahrain is a role model in the field of supporting women.

Ambassador Chakil emphasized the depth of bilateral relations between Bahrain and Turkey, noting the visit of Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani to Turkey in November 2021.

As well as the visit of Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu to the Kingdom in January 2022, and the positive results of the mutual visits in strengthening bilateral relations in various fields, and developing them for the benefit of the two friendly countries. and people.

At the end of the session, she thanked the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Director General of MBMA for hosting them and allowing them to share experiences and expertise.
