Manama, October 27 (BNA) The Ministry of Interior in the Kingdom of Bahrain confirmed that the defamation and incitement campaigns against Bahrain and its citizens through the Qatari Al-Jazeera channel come within a systematic framework that lacks professionalism and media credibility.
The Ministry highlights the following:
First: The report published on the Al-Jazeera website that the perpetrator of the attack on a religious site in Shiraz, Iran, is a Bahraini citizen, is baseless.
Second: The credibility and professionalism of the media contradicts the channel’s years-long approach against the Kingdom of Bahrain. Therefore, the information must be immediately denied, considering that the Iranian local authorities denied the news.
Third: The Qatari channel Al-Jazeera must publish this response to correct its report, based on the principle of the right to reply and to clarify the facts.
