Minister honours national health committees

Manama, October 25 (BNA) Health Minister Faeqa bint Saeed Al-Saleh praised the achievements made by the National Health Committees thanks to their continuous cooperation with the relevant authorities in the ministries in addition to civil society organizations, noting that they are keen to continue launching national initiatives aimed at protecting health and safety. citizens and residents, as well as preventing the spread of diseases.

The Minister of Health’s statements came during a ceremony honoring the national health committees, including the National Committee to Combat Chronic Non-communicable Diseases, the National Committee to Combat Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS), and the National Committee to Combat Smoking and All Kinds of Tobacco and Its Products, which was held today at the Ministry of Health.

The minister expressed his thanks, appreciation and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their unwavering support for medical services in the Kingdom, including preventive services. The National Health Committees include representatives from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs, and the Ministry of Information Affairs. , the Supreme Council for the Environment, the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Royal Medical Services (Bahrain Defense Force Hospital), King Hamad University Hospital, the Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Specialized Center for Cardiology, in addition to the Bahrain Diabetes Society, the Bahrain Cancer Society, and the Anti-Smoking Society .
