Minister affirms support for tourism establishments

Manama, Dec. 18 (BNA): Tourism Minister Fatima bint Jaafar Al-Serafi stressed the great role played by tourism institutions in promoting the tourism sector in the Kingdom, stressing the importance of concerted efforts within the framework of the various partnerships between the two countries. Public and private sectors in achieving the objectives of the tourism strategy 2022-2026.

Al-Serafi, during his meeting with the CEO of the “South Tourism” company, Youssef Khalifa Al-Manea, renewed the support of the Ministry of Tourism for all tourism establishments in the Kingdom to enable them to improve their work performance and achieve their goals. As well as encouraging them to merge with each other in order to diversify the tourism product, which contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of the sector as a whole and attracting more tourists and visitors to Bahrain.

Al-Sairafi stressed the keenness of the Ministry of Tourism and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority to develop work paths with private tourism sector institutions, as well as providing them with all necessary facilities and holding periodic meetings to listen to their views.

Yousef Khalifa Al-Manea stressed the company’s keenness to work within the framework of the national strategy to develop the tourism sector as a whole in the Kingdom, and to achieve the aspirations of the Ministry of Tourism to increase the contribution of private sector institutions in providing an innovative product that meets the needs of citizens, residents, tourists and visitors.

The minister was briefed on the company’s strategy in providing services that keep pace with the requirements of the growing tourism market, in addition to placing the company on the map of regional logistics services, stressing his keenness to meet the aspirations of the tourism sector with regard to tourism. The projects that the company seeks to implement in the current period by adopting a business model based on bringing about positive change and remarkable development in the sector.

It is noteworthy that the Southern Tourism Company is the official carrier and the long-term marine bridge that connects parts of the new marine tourism and advanced services.

The company is proud to extend these services for more than 20 years and ensure the continuity of excellence in order to reach professionalism in the maritime transport sector and contribute to enriching the tourism sector by providing high quality marine services.
