The Senior HR Manager is responsible for the HR team in Dubai, ensuring that the department runs efficiently and aligns with business objectives.

basic tasks

Providing Human Resources Service:
• Responsible for the daily delivery of the HR function.

Management Responsibility:
• Responsible for the day-to-day management, engagement and development of the HR team in Dubai. Lead the team to advance projects, initiatives, and activities, including but not limited to performance management, engagement, operational issues, and talent management.

Business Partnership:
• Contribute to the development of personnel strategy for the business of Middle East Airlines.
• Build relationships within the business to ensure that HR is a strategic business partner within client groups, and contribute to business planning and strategic discussions by providing business advice and support on all operational HR issues.
• Support partners to ensure that business strategy and personnel are aligned with business objectives.
• Work with partners and broader business to ensure initiatives and solutions receive full support prior to implementation. Influencing and supporting change management across practice.
• Suggesting new ideas that lead to better strategic decisions.
• Work with partners to ensure that the structure of their practice areas meets the business and strategic needs of the company.

• Work with relevant stakeholders in the MEA region and globally to run a commercial payroll review process that responds to market challenges and retains talent, and leads the project team (includes HR, Finance, etc.).

performance and development:
• Business support to establish a culture of continuous feedback.
• Work with the HR team to further develop and hone the competencies of fee holders to ensure that our people development systems are appropriate and appropriate for our changing business purpose.

Candidate requirements
• Strong business understanding of the practical application of human resources and able to quickly build credibility with employees across all levels of the business.
• Strong influence and negotiation skills understanding and appreciation of the need to “take people with you” rather than simply implementing policy/rules.
• Possess a flexible approach to dealing with difficult situations while remaining professional in order to achieve the right business outcome.
• Ability to demonstrate attraction with and challenge key stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of labor law in the Middle East and solid experience in employee relations.

• Experience working to tight deadlines, often under pressure, effectively.
• The ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions in difficult circumstances.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Flexible work style and ability to manage the tops and bottoms of the workload as required.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• A good leader/manager/delegator
• A lateral thinker capable of providing practical business solutions
• Middle East experience for this role is essential.
• Considering upcoming projects, experience in designing and implementing a payroll review is required.
