Manchester United in sight of Champions League return after 1-0 win at Bournemouth

London, May 20 (BNA): Manchester United are close to returning to the Champions League after beating Bournemouth 1-0 on Saturday to cement their place in the top four in the English Premier League, according to the Associated Press.

The win – which Casemiro sealed with a close-range header in the ninth minute – put United three points clear of fifth-placed Liverpool, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Aston Villa with just one game left to play.

United only need a point from their last two matches, at home to Chelsea and Fulham, to return to the Champions League after a one-season absence.

It will be another positive for United in a solid first season under Dutch manager Erik ten Hag, who has already led the team to the League Cup as well as a place in the FA Cup Final against Manchester City on June 3.
