The objective of our risk advisory services is to provide clients with a frank and reliable overview of their risk landscape. Our clients can use our solutions to build trust with their clients, the market as a whole and when required by regulations or contracts.
Your main responsibilities
You will be responsible for managing multiple customer engagement teams at the executive level within the practice and the company. You can expect to work with senior client staff to address strategic, compliance, financial and operational risks, and work with clients to resolve complex issues in the areas of governance, risk, compliance, internal control and audit.
Success skills and attributes
Provide guidance and share knowledge with team members and participate in the performance of procedures specifically focused on complex, judgmental and/or specialized issues.
Work with the team and client to develop plans to achieve engagement objectives and a strategy that aligns with professional standards, advises clients to understand and manage their business risks and validate their business information
Inform the engagement team of the client’s internal audit environment and internal audit trends in the industry.
Maintain relationships with client management to manage service expectations, including work products, timing, and deliverables.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of compliance and financial and operational risks along with conducting internal control testing, developing enterprise risk plans, and providing enterprise risk services on an outsourcing basis.
Evaluate internal controls and the SOX framework for risk mitigation and their application to client situations
Bring and use extensive knowledge of the client’s business/industry to identify technological developments and assess impacts on the client’s business. Demonstrate excellent project management skills, inspire teamwork and responsibility with engaging team members, and use existing technology/tools to enhance effectiveness of deliverables and services.
Understand EY and its service lines and evaluate what the company can actively offer to serve clients.
To qualify for this role, you must have
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
At least 5 years of experience working in governance/risk/compliance and/or internal auditing in a professional services or consulting firm, or in the energy sector.
Sectoral experience in energy (oil and gas, renewable energy, power and utilities) or related fields,
Job experience in the areas of risk management, compliance, internal control, internal audit, eGRC solutions, and risk analytics relevant to this position.
– We expect you to be available to travel outside of their designated office location
Supervisory and team leadership experience.
Professional experience (with Big4) is preferred.
Ideally, you will also have
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, technology-related fields, engineering, finance, data science, risk management, or a related discipline
– Any of the following: CPA, CA, CISA, CISSP, CISM, CBCP, CIA, CIPP, CGEIT, PMP certifications are a requirement.
