LMRA reviews cooperation with IOM

Geneva, December 8 (BNA) The Advisor to the Labor Market Regulatory Authority for Planning and Development, Duaij Khalifa Al-Binali, met with the first regional advisor of the International Organization for Migration for the Middle East and North Africa, Othman Belbeisi. .

This came after the participation of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority in the 112th session of the Council of the International Organization for Migration.

The two parties discussed ways to further strengthen and develop the relationship between the Labor Market Regulatory Authority and the International Organization for Migration.

Several joint initiatives were reviewed in the session, with the aim of strengthening efforts to combat human trafficking, as well as the role of the International Organization for Migration in strengthening the Regional Center of Excellence for Capacity Building in the Field of Trafficking in Persons. The center was recently launched by the Labor Market Regulatory Authority in cooperation with the United Nations agencies concerned with combating trafficking and the affairs of expatriate employees.
