LMRA conducts inspection campaigns in Capital, Muharraq and Northern Governorates

Manama, Feb. 9 (BNA): The Labor Market Regulatory Authority and the Ministry of Interior continue to make joint efforts to intensify inspection campaigns against illegal practices in the labor market, in order to maintain a competitive, fair and stable labor market.

The Labor Market Regulatory Authority carried out three joint inspection campaigns, the first was in the Northern Governorate in coordination with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs and the Police Directorate in the governorate. As for the other campaign, it was implemented in the Capital Governorate, in coordination with the Directorate of Execution of Sentences and the General Directorate for Crime Detection and Criminal Evidence at the Ministry of Interior.

The Labor Market Regulatory Authority also carried out a joint campaign in Muharraq Governorate, in coordination with the General Directorate of Crime Detection and Criminal Evidence at the Ministry of Interior.

The campaigns resulted in reports of violations of labor market and residency laws. Cases have been referred for legal action.

The Labor Market Regulatory Authority has renewed its call to all members of society to support the efforts of government agencies in addressing illegal labor practices, by reporting violations via the electronic form on the authority’s website www.lmra.bh or by calling the authority’s call center. at 17506055.
