Manama, February 16 (BNA) The Labor Market Regulatory Authority implemented an inspection campaign in Muharraq Governorate in cooperation with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs and the Muharraq Governorate Directorate, which included many work sites in the governorates.
The campaign resulted in the arrest of a number of violations related to the provisions of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority Law and the Residency Law in Bahrain, and the arrest of many workers who violated regulations and laws, with legal measures taken against them.
The authority pointed out that this campaign comes in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and relevant government agencies to develop the work environment and address all practices that would affect the competitiveness, fairness and flexibility of the labor market, in addition to its negative effects on social security.
The authority stressed the importance of the community’s role in supporting the efforts of government agencies that seek to maintain the security, social, health and economic stability of the community, calling on the public to report any complaints related to the labor market and illegal immigrant workers.
