The campaigns resulted in reports of violations of labor market and residency laws. Cases have been referred for legal action.
The Labor Market Regulatory Authority indicated that a joint inspection campaign was conducted in the Capital Governorate, in coordination with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs and the Governorate Police Directorate. Other inspection campaigns were conducted in the Capital Governorate and Muharraq Governorate, in coordination with the General Directorate of Crime Detection and Criminal Evidence at the Ministry of Interior.
The Labor Market Regulatory Authority has renewed its call to all members of society to support the efforts of government agencies in addressing illegal labor practices, by reporting violations via the electronic form on the authority’s website www.lmra.gov.bh or by contacting the authority.
