Liverpool held 2-2 by Brighton in the Premier League

London, Oct. 30 (BNA): Brighton came closer than any opponent in six months to finish 24 games unbeaten for Liverpool, recovering from two goals down to draw 2-2 in the Premier League at Anfield on Saturday.

Mohamed Salah failed to score for the first time in 11 games for Liverpool, but it seemed that the hosts were close to winning when Jordan Henderson and Sadio Mane scored twice in the first 24 minutes, according to the Associated Press.

However, Enoch Mwepo curled a long-range curl to score his first Premier League goal to close the gap in the 41st minute and Leandro Trossard equalized in the 65th minute after picking up a pass from former Liverpool player Adam Lallana.

Brighton had better chances of winning the match since that point and Trussard ruled out a late goal against The Cup.

Part of Brighton’s success lies in becoming only the second team this season, after Burnley in August, to prevent Salah from finding the net. His goal streak was halted with his only chance of seeing an attempt called off for offside in the second half.
