Labor minister receives UNDP Acting Resident Representative

Manama, October 4 (BNA) The Minister of Labor and Social Development, Jamil bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan, received the acting resident representative of the United Nations Development Program and the United Nations Coordinator, Muhammad Al-Zarqani.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation and aspects of development projects implemented by the ministry to achieve the 2030 sustainable development goals.

Minister Humaidan stressed the continued support of the Ministry of Labor for the efforts of the United Nations Development Program in the development fields, pointing to the government’s efforts to confront the health, economic and social effects of the epidemic.

He pointed to the royal directives to allocate a financial package to support all economic sectors, as well as social protection, as this financial package contributed to the stability and sustainability of the local labor market.
