Labor Minister receives Malaysian ambassador

Manama, Jan. 23 (BNA) The Minister of Labor and Social Development and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority, Jamil bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan, received Malaysian Ambassador to Bahrain Shazriel Zahran.

The meeting discussed ways to develop bilateral relations and benefit from successful experiences in rehabilitating human resources, social support systems and various other sectors.

The minister reviewed the most prominent initiatives of the Kingdom of Bahrain in regulating the labor market, including advanced labor legislation, and stressed keenness to develop relations with Malaysia in various fields.

The ambassador praised the attention paid by the Kingdom to Malaysian workers in Bahrain during the pandemic, noting the efforts made in the field of health care and preserving the rights of expatriates.

He praised the progress and growth witnessed by Bahrain, and affirmed his country’s keenness to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation at all levels.
