Labor Minister affirms government’s recruitment plans

Manama, Jan. 25 (BNA): Labor Minister Jamil bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan met with Samer Suleiman, CEO of Arab Financial Services Company (AFS), during his visit to the company.

The minister was briefed on the recruitment plan to employ Bahrainis.

The company employed 64 Bahrainis out of a total workforce of 148 workers in 2021-2022, while the percentage of Bahrainis in the company exceeded 66%.

The minister also reviewed the company’s plan to train job seekers and university students, which takes place periodically at the facility.

He affirmed the government’s support for the financial sector to attract more investment opportunities and enhance the Kingdom’s position.

Humaidan stressed the ministry’s priority to employ citizens in qualitative sectors by modernizing the vocational training system in line with technological developments.

He highlighted the growth of non-banking financial companies in the Kingdom that support the national economy and provide qualitative investment opportunities.
