Klopp calls 5-0 win at United an “insane result”

Manchester, October 25 (BNA): Liverpool outperformed Manchester United after their 5-0 victory at Old Trafford on Sunday, a result that coach Jurgen Klopp described as “crazy”.

Mohamed Salah scored a hat-trick for Liverpool, extending his scoring record to 10 consecutive games in all competitions, but Klopp was full of praise for his entire attack.

“What we did in the last third was crazy,” he said. “The pressure was high, he won balls and scored great goals.”

“The result is crazy,” added the German, whose team remains a point behind leaders Chelsea.

“5-0, I couldn’t be happier, it’s exceptional. So cool,” he said.

It was Liverpool’s biggest-ever win with United and Klopp said it would be remembered as one of the club’s impressive results, Reuters reported.

“This group has always wanted to write their own little chapters in the big big history book of this club. This was a small chapter tonight, a small chapter. People will talk about it in the future, 100%, because not often, if it ever happens again, Klopp said.

As is often the case, three goals for Liverpool caught fire, but the entire team looked in shape that saw them win the title in 2020.

“We were clinical, we were tough, our high pressure was great, we really won the balls in great areas, the formation was up front and all those things you want to see as a coach, it was really great,” Klopp said.

“The difference now is that you usually don’t score in pretty much every situation you have, but that’s what we did and why we were 4-0 ahead in the first half. The second half, early 5-0 and the red card, it’s game over, so just control it and try Go home healthy.”

The only negative for Klopp is James Milner and Naby Keita with injuries in the second half.
