King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, Salvation Army discuss cooperation

Manama, September 7 (BNA) The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence received Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Salvation Army’s regional commander for the Middle East, Doug Newman.

The two sides discussed cooperation in finding enlightening projects that promote religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence.

Dr. Khalid reviewed the history of religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence in the Kingdom, and highlighted the efforts of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to maintain tolerance and coexistence in Bahrain.

The commander expressed the Salvation Army’s desire to make Bahrain the headquarters of its regional activities.

He praised Bahrain’s efforts under the leadership of His Majesty the King in promoting peace in the region by supporting the Center.

Newman praised the center’s efforts in spreading tolerance and coexistence within the foundation’s humanitarian and charitable work.
