King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence holds meeting

Manama, Jan. 14 (BNA) The Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence held its first periodic meeting this year under the chairmanship of Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa. The meeting was held online in the presence of the Vice-Presidents, members of the Board of Directors and the General Secretary.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa offered sincere congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander. The Commander and Prime Minister, on the 25th anniversary of the founding of the National Guard, which falls on January 7 and Bahrain Diplomatic Day that falls on January 14.

Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa had welcomed Abdul Wahhab bin Yousef Al-Hawaj, and congratulated him for the royal confidence by appointing him as Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Center. He also congratulated Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa for the royal confidence on his appointment as the Centre’s Secretary General. He expressed the center’s keenness to achieve more achievements regarding the Kingdom’s efforts to promote tolerance and peaceful coexistence worldwide.

The meeting shed light on the topics on its agenda and took the necessary decisions. It also reviewed the achievements of the past year and the proposed programs and projects.
