King Hamad Global Centre, Brazil to boost education cooperation

Manama, Mar. 16 (BNA): Vice President of the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence, Betsy Matheson, said that the center will continue to build on its achievements, especially on partnerships and cooperation agreements.

She said, “The King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence took the initiative to sign agreements related to children and youth and provide them with the appropriate qualifications to face today’s challenges, in order to make them leaders of the future.” Brazilian Senator Nelson met Trad Filho.

“Education is no longer confined to books and school curricula, and there is an urgent need to acquire more knowledge and develop greater awareness to be able to face new challenges and deal with technological developments and modern threats, including electronic terrorism, hate speech, and mobilization against religions and beliefs.”

Senator Trad Filho praised the remarkable steps and outstanding initiatives taken by the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence to spread peace and tolerance and promote dialogue based on knowledge and enlightenment.

The senator called for more coordination and cooperation to contribute to new educational programs for young people, to benefit from different views, ideas and opinions, and to exchange experiences and expertise.
