Jordanian PM: ‘Security of Saudi Arabia and Jordan indivisible’

Amman, February 3 (BNA) Jordanian Prime Minister Bishr Al-Khasawneh received today the Chairman of the Saudi Shura Council Abdullah Al-Sheikh and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized the historical relations between Jordan and Saudi Arabia, indicating that it is a priority for His Majesty King Abdullah II and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Al-Khasawneh affirmed Jordan’s solidarity with Saudi Arabia in the face of any aggression targeting its security and stability, adding that Saudi Arabia’s security is an integral part of Jordan’s security.

He referred to the “NEOM” project, which comes within the framework of the development vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which was adopted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He pointed out that the project links Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, and will serve their economies and attract investments to the three countries.

For his part, the head of the Saudi Shura Council indicated that he supports the governments of the two countries and their efforts to develop economic and investment cooperation.

He pointed out the importance of consolidating cooperation in various fields, especially in the parliamentary, economic and commercial fields, in addition to removing bureaucracy for businessmen and investors, and facilitating travel between the two countries.
