Jordanian King departs for Japan on official visit

Amman, April 7 (BNA): His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, left on an official visit to Japan, followed by a visit to the United Kingdom.

Petra stated that King Abdullah will be accompanied during his visit to Tokyo by His Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, and that His Majesty is scheduled to meet with Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako of Japan.

His Majesty the King will also hold talks with Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio about the strategic partnership between the two countries and ways to enhance it in various fields, especially the economy, as well as regional and international developments.

His Majesty King Abdullah II will meet with Speaker of the House of Representatives Hosoda Hiroyuki, Speaker of the House of Councilors Hidehisa Otsugi and a number of senior officials.

His Majesty the King will head to London to attend the 200th Sovereign Parade of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, which will be held under the patronage of King Charles III.

In Amman, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein took the constitutional oath in the presence of members of the Council of Ministers as Deputy to His Majesty the King.
