Joint Bahraini-Saudi naval drill -Bridge 23- concludes

Manama, Dec. 29 (BNA): The Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Dhiab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, attended the closing ceremony of the naval exercise codenamed “Bridge 23”, which was carried out by the Bahrain Defense Force, represented by His Royal Highness. The Bahraini Naval Force (RBNF) and the Royal Saudi Naval Force are represented by the Eastern Fleet.


The Chief of Staff was briefed on the objectives and stages of the joint naval exercises.


The joint exercise aims to unify combat concepts and enhance cooperation and integration mechanisms between the navies of the two brotherly countries, by carrying out various stages of joint military operations, and applying the procedures for managing the naval battle. It also aims to raise the efficiency of officers and military personnel in the command and control process, in addition to exchanging combat experiences during naval operations.


Bridge 23 is one of a series of joint naval maneuvers regularly conducted by the navies of the two kingdoms. It is the largest among the joint naval training activities between the two countries, in terms of the level and size of the participating forces or the technology of combat equipment, as well as the degree of professionalism of non-commissioned officers. The officers and soldiers of the naval forces are conducting various stages of the exercises, which embody the advanced level of cohesion and cooperation between the two countries, as well as the continuous military coordination between them.
