João Félix scores 1st Chelsea goal in 1-1 draw with West Ham

London, Feb 11 (BNA): Joao Felix’s second game for Chelsea went even better than his first.

The Portuguese forward scored his first goal for the club in a 1-1 draw at West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday after returning from a three-match ban after being sent off on his debut a month ago, the Associated Press (AP) reported.

Felix crossed from another new cross, Enzo Fernandez, in the 16th minute only for Emerson Palmieri – a former Chelsea player – to equalize in the 28th minute.

It was the third consecutive draw for an intensely assembled Chelsea side, who are languishing in mid-table in what is looking increasingly a miserable bid to qualify for the Champions League.

In an action-packed finale, West Ham had a goal by Tomas Soucek disallowed for offside, and Chelsea received an appeal for a penalty which was removed after Soucek appeared to have handled the ball when stopping Conor Gallagher’s shot.
