JICRC Executive Director praises King Hamad Global Award for Dialogue and Peaceful Coexistence

Manama, November 4 (BNA) The Executive Director of the Jordan Center for Interreligious Coexistence Research, Father Nabil Haddad, praised the King Hamad International Prize for Dialogue and Peaceful Coexistence, considering it an important initiative that supports efforts to promote world peace.

He emphasized that as a Christian, he believed it was an important initiative that would bring good to humanity.

He added that as a jury for the “World Interfaith Harmony Week Award for His Majesty King Abdullah II,” he believes that such awards consolidate Arab thought, noting that the Bahraini award aims to encourage wise work for peace.

He pointed out that the “Bahrain Dialogue Forum: East and West for Human Coexistence”, which concluded its activities here today, is a major event that outlines the features of the future, especially as it is being held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Khalifa who established the principles of mercy and love in his country.

He stressed that the Bahrain Dialogue Forum was attended by His Holiness Pope Francis, head of the Catholic Church, and His Eminence the Imam of Al-Azhar Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, who agreed on principles to achieve the best for all humanity, noting that the event conveyed a message of peace from Bahrain to the whole world.

Father Nabil Haddad said that everyone is required to follow up on the implementation of the message of peace, adding that the call to end wars, stop conflicts and support peace makers supports global efforts to achieve peace and spreads love and harmony.
