Italy’s oldest student graduates again aged 98

Rome, July 21 (BUS): Giuseppe Paterno, 98, has become Italy’s oldest graduate student – again.

Paterno has added a master’s degree in history and philosophy from Palermo University to his first degree in the same subjects he took there two years ago, Reuters reports.

His proud family said on Facebook that he passed the most recent score with the highest score, once again.

He has no plans to rest and wants to write a novel using his trusty typewriter.

Born in 1923, Paterno was raised in a poor family in Sicily, and despite his love of books and study, he was unable to attend university as a young man.

Instead, he served in the Navy during World War II from the age of twenty and went on to work on the railways.
