Israeli government wins budget vote, avoiding new elections

Tel Aviv, November 4 (BNA) The Israeli parliament voted on the proposed government budget, avoiding the need for new elections.

Israel’s parliament, the Knesset, has passed the 2021 state budget into law by 61 votes out of 120 members of parliament.

This gives Israel a new budget for the first time since March 2018, the Jerusalem Post reported online.

The approval of the budget was a crucial step for the ruling coalition led by Prime Minister Naftali Bennett to stay in place.
