Interior Ministry Undersecretary opens workshop

Manama, Jan. 17 (BNA): The first edition of the workshop entitled “Legal Identity: Border Security and Safe Mobility” was launched today in the Kingdom of Bahrain.


The Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) is organizing the event in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration and Naif Arab University for Security Sciences.


Arab officials and experts, as well as representatives of organizations, will participate in the workshop to discuss regional and international coordination to achieve common goals, facilitate safe and orderly migration, and promote information exchange in the field of building migration policies based on evidence and motives. data.


The workshop was inaugurated by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, Sheikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, and welcomed the participants.


He stressed the importance of the workshop, which aims to present recommendations and desired solutions, looking forward to the continuation of Arab cooperation.


The workshop comes within the framework of the initiative to establish the Arab Center for Technical Cooperation in the field of immigration and border management in Riyadh.


It aims to enhance cooperation between state organizations, support capabilities, exchange experiences, and devote appropriate best practices to the various challenges facing the region in the field of migration and related issues.
