Manama, June 9 (BNA) The Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Major General Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, visited the Ministry of Interior today.
He was received by Interior Minister Lt. Gen. Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Head of the National Intelligence Service, Head of Public Security, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior and Inspector General.
The Minister of Interior praised the strong historical relations that bind the two countries and peoples, stressing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness on Yemen’s security and stability.
Major General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa affirmed his readiness to provide all kinds of support with regard to training programs in a way that contributes to maintaining Yemen’s security and stability.
The two sides reviewed the most important security issues within the framework of enhancing cooperation and coordination and improving performance to face security challenges and rapid changes on the regional and international arenas.
A number of programs offered by the Ministry of Interior in the field of enhancing security and preserving national identity were also discussed.
It includes the program to combat violence and addiction “together”, the program of alternative provisions, and to move forward with the implementation of the initiatives of the national plan to enhance national belonging and consolidate the values of citizenship.
