Manama, Mar. 12 (BNA): The Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, received here today the Director General of the International Organization for Migration, Antonio Vitorino.
The meeting was attended by Chief of Public Security Lieutenant General Tariq Al-Hassan and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs Sheikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa.
The Minister of Interior welcomed the officials, expressing Bahrain’s pride in its potential and capabilities in the field of combating human trafficking, which led to Bahrain maintaining its first rank in the world.
He praised the cooperation with the International Organization for Migration in various fields, including the exchange of experiences and specialized workshops. He stressed the importance of continuing cooperation in the best interests of both sides.
The meeting reviewed issues of immigration, expatriate labor and the legal rights granted to expatriates.
