Manama, Mar. 8 (BNA): The Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, today honored Policewoman Sharifa Riyad Ahmed from the General Administration for the Execution of Sentences and Alternative Sentences. The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Sheikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, and the Director General of Execution of Alternative Sentences and Judgments, Sheikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa.
The policewoman saved a woman and two children from a house fire in Hamad Town on February 23. The Minister of Interior praised the honorable work of the policewoman, her courage and her quick response in dealing with emergencies. He pointed out that her work reflects her awareness of the importance of community partnership to protect security and safety. He called on citizens and residents to follow public safety rules.
