Interior Minister hails NPRA’s development initiatives

Manama, March 16 (BNA) Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa today visited Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, where he was received by Undersecretary of the Ministry Sheikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa and a number of officials.


The visit comes in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to provide modern and integrated services to citizens. It is also part of the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to implement the royal vision.


The Minister of Interior stressed the importance of supporting His Majesty the King to achieve remarkable performance development and to ensure excellence in the services provided. He valued 24 initiatives to develop the services of the National Human Resources Management Authority as part of the economic recovery plan launched by the Council of Ministers headed by His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.


The Minister of Interior expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Undersecretary, praising the implementation of the new work strategy through sincere efforts and efficiency standards to meet the government’s action plan.


He affirmed his keenness to provide all support, including training, to provide citizens inside and outside Bahrain with the same level of services. He highlighted the importance of performance monitoring and the best use of modern technology.


He pointed out that employees who deal directly with customers should be carefully selected and provided with the required training and tools, adding that they should be evaluated periodically to monitor efficiency in the best interest of citizens and residents.

The Minister of Interior was briefed on the most prominent achievements and the timetable for implementing the initiatives. He was also briefed on development goals, passenger statistics, e-services projects, the strategy and operational plans of the new vision.
