Interior Minister attends joint exercise

Manama, March 10 (BNA) Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa witnessed today a joint security exercise.

The Ministry of Interior organized in cooperation with the Bahrain Defense Force and the Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO), the ceremony was also attended by the Head of Public Security and His Highness, the Emir of the Southern Region.

These exercises come within the framework of the Civil Defense Council’s directives to organize joint national exercises in accordance with the national disaster management plan, with the participation of various security sectors and realistic scenarios to ensure speedy response in dealing with accidents.

The exercise aims to examine the willingness of the participating parties to apply the basic principles and concepts of the joint operation and to enhance coordination among them.

The Minister of Interior was briefed on the objectives of the exercise, its stages and steps for its implementation, praising the field capabilities and security efficiency in handling accidents professionally.

He stressed that securing vital facilities is a top security priority to face challenges and threats, adding that it is of paramount importance to enhance readiness and readiness to enhance security and public safety.

He stressed the importance of continuous training, capacity building, review of procedures, and organization of exercises to enhance cooperation and coordination between security directorates. He wished the participants all success in serving the security and stability of the country.
