Interior Minister attends conclusion of Public Security Quran Competition

Manama, April 27 (BNA) Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa attended today the closing of the Fourth Public Security Competition for the Holy Quran. And 200 officers, non-commissioned officers and civil servants from various directorates of the Ministry of Interior participated in the competition. The meeting was attended by the Head of Public Security, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior and the Inspector General.

The Minister of Interior stressed that organizing the event comes within the framework of the wise approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in sponsoring the Great Bahrain Holy Quran Competition, which is one of the most prestigious competitions of the Holy Quran at the local and regional levels. . He added that the Qur’an gives the police the spiritual growth to perform their duties in the spirit of patriotism, sincerity and loyalty. He pointed out the keenness of the Ministry of Interior to promote such competitions to spread good values.

He valued the positive participation and competitive spirit of the participants, praising the role of the General Directorate of the Guard in organizing the event. He directed to hold the competition annually and include a new category for supplication (the muezzin).

The contest supervisor, Colonel Faisal Al-Arjani, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Interior for sponsoring the event and for the endless support of the workforce to enhance knowledge and skills. He said competition has become commonplace over the years among employees.

The Minister of Interior distributed the certificates to the winners and members of the organizing committee and the jury. He wished them success in serving the country.
