Manama, Jan. 1 (BNA): The Department of Holy Quran Affairs at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments concluded the qualification stage for the oath of forgiveness in the 27th Bahrain Grand Prix for the Holy Quran.
Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Bahrain Grand Prize for the Holy Quran is organized annually by the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments and the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.
In this regard, the Assistant Undersecretary for Islamic Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Taher Al-Qattan, said that up to 163 inmates, including 154 males and nine females, participated in the qualifying stage for the forgiveness competition.
The forgiveness competition is held in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior, as part of efforts to correct the inmates, and to provide them with the opportunity to learn and memorize the Noble Qur’an.
