Manama, October 11 (BNA) Minister of Industry and Commerce Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani today visited Bahrain Aluminum Company (Alba), in the presence of its Chairman and CEO, Sheikh Daij bin Salman bin Daij Al Khalifa. Officer Ali Al-Baqali.
The Minister highlighted the significant contributions of national companies to the economy, noting the influential role played by Alba in promoting growth in the industrial sector, and increasing demand for Bahraini aluminum globally. He affirmed the government’s commitment to continue supporting national companies in order to achieve national economic development goals.
During the visit, Minister Al-Zayani inspected the sixth line expansion project and was briefed on the progress of operations. He also toured the rest of the factory’s departments and listened to an explanation of all stages of the manufacturing and production processes.
For his part, Sheikh Daij bin Salman bin Daij Al Khalifa indicated that this visit reflects the government’s interest in the industrial sector in general and aluminum in particular.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors stressed that Alba is constantly seeking to explore more expansion projects, modernizations and new facilities for the company’s operations, in order to enhance its competitiveness in the global aluminum industry and achieve the objectives of the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
