Manama, Mar. 9 (BNA): Minister of Industry and Commerce, Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, received Tariq Fakhro, Chairman of the Bahrain Technology Companies Association (B-TEC).
The Chairman introduced the board members of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA), at their meetings in Bahrain on the 8th and 9th of March.
The meeting discussed issues related to information technology and reviewed the information services sector in Bahrain.
The minister praised the role played by B-TEC in providing innovative solutions that contribute to facilitating services and providing a suitable environment for technology companies in Bahrain to reach global markets.
He highlighted the government’s interest in the communications and information technology sector, which has become one of the pillars of the national economy as it promotes commercial growth and e-commerce and stimulates investment in Bahrain.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors stressed the importance of cooperation between the association and various government agencies for the benefit of the Bahraini economy, expressing his appreciation for the ministry’s support for this vital sector.
