Industry Minister patronises ‘Export of Transformational Industries and Their Role in Promoting Global Environmental Sustainability’ event

Manama, Dec. 21 (BNA): Under the patronage of Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, and in the presence of Piyush Srivastava, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Export Bahrain and Taha International Industrial Services successfully concluded the “Export Manufacturing Industries and Their Role in Promoting Global Environmental Sustainability” event.

The event, which was held at the Gulf Hotel, was attended by more than 150 participants, including representatives from the public and private sectors, and highlighted the aluminum manufacturing industries and the advanced technologies used in these sectors, driven by the development of a sustainable hot environment. During the event, a partnership agreement was presented between Bahrain-based Taha International Industrial Services, and its Indian counterpart, Runaya, which was facilitated by Export Bahrain.

Ammar Oji, CEO of Taha International Industrial Services, emphasized the importance of this partnership, saying, “The hot slag processing units will provide pioneering sustainable aluminum solutions that will revolutionize the aluminum industry in India as a result of this collaboration.” He added, “Developing zero-waste solutions in the aluminum industry in Bahrain not only enhances economic growth within the Kingdom, but also supports global efforts towards environmental sustainability through the export of these technologies.”

Furthermore, a panel discussion was held where the main ideas and different avenues for potential ramifications were analyzed, including the importance of developing new patents in waste reduction and green industry promotion. Bahrain’s focus on research and technological innovation places the kingdom at the forefront of developments in environmental sustainability.

The event embodies Export Bahrain’s commitment to identifying pathways and prioritizing important synergies between Bahrain-based companies and their international counterparts.

Safaa Sharif Abdul Khaleq, CEO of Export Bahrain, praised the outstanding capabilities and talents available in Bahrain and reaffirmed Export Bahrain’s unique focus on increasing technological advancement emanating from the Kingdom of Bahrain. “Integrating advanced sustainability practices into export operations will enhance economic dynamism,” she added.
