The minister praised the tangible cooperation among the members, and stressed that the upcoming stages require more solidarity to overcome challenges and successfully complete initiatives within the specified timetable to benefit the small and medium enterprises sector and contribute to its development and prosperity.
The Director of Small and Medium Enterprises Development, Sheikha Al-Fadhel, briefed the meeting on the national performance indicators of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Council.
The meeting reviewed the values of the performance indicators of the implemented initiatives and their target percentages in the next phase.
It also reviewed the developments of the Small and Medium Enterprises Database project, which aims to collect data on the growth of enterprises, as the number of enterprises that achieved growth from March 2022 to March 2023 reached 4,301 enterprises and companies, the majority of which are microenterprises.
The requirements of the second phase of the project were also identified to ensure follow-up of the operational conditions of these institutions at a deeper level by linking the information available to members to form an integrated database that can be relied upon to improve the performance of this sector.
The team consisting of representatives of the concerned authorities evaluated all 43 initiatives and programs and identified challenges to ensure the required workflow in a step aimed at achieving the best results and outputs for the years 2022-2026.
