Jakarta, Feb. 7 (BNA): Indonesia’s economy grew 5.02% in the fourth quarter of 2021, slightly faster than expected, on the back of higher commodity prices and the easing of anti-virus restrictions, data from the statistics office showed on Monday. .
Analysts polled by Reuters had expected growth in Southeast Asia’s largest economy to accelerate to 4.90% in the October-December first quarter from a year earlier, from 3.51% in the previous three months, Reuters reported.
The economy grew 3.69% in 2021, compared to a contraction of 2.07% the previous year.
