Manama, June 22 (BNA) The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and member of the National Medical Team to Combat Coronavirus (Covid-19), Dr. Walid Al-Manea, stressed today the importance of continuing to monitor the Coronavirus. 19 precautionary measures to protect public health.
Dr. Al-Manea stressed that wearing masks is required in various health centers and facilities, and is optional in private and public places. Dr. Al-Manea added that the Corona virus can be transmitted by individuals who do not show symptoms of the virus, and therefore wearing a mask when in contact with the vulnerable, including the elderly and those with chronic diseases, is important.
Dr. Al-Manea explained that collective efforts to combat COVID-19 are ongoing, however, social responsibility plays a greater role in supporting mitigation efforts.
Dr. Al-Manea concluded his speech by stressing the importance of taking the COVID-19 vaccine and the necessary booster doses, in addition to the importance of taking a COVID-19 test when facing any related symptoms, as early detection can save lives.
