iGA, LMRA Chief Executives discuss cooperation in technology field

Manama, Jan. 26 (BNA) The CEO of the Information and e-Government Authority, Muhammad Ali Al-Qaed, met with the CEO of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority Jamal Al-Alawi. They discussed a range of topics, including projects to disseminate the latest technologies to improve electronic services. The meeting was attended by the Executive Vice President for Operations and Governance from the Information and eGovernment Authority, Dr. Khaled Al-Mutawa.

The Leader highlighted the impact of the efforts of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority on raising awareness of important labor issues among business owners and expatriates, which helps protect the rights of all concerned, and its unique set of services that helped raise Bahrain’s reputation regionally and globally.

The leader discussed the notable electronic services provided to the Labor Market Regulatory Authority as part of the partnership between the two entities and how to improve them, as well as the possibility of deploying additional technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing. He commended the Labor Market Regulatory Authority for publishing advanced systems, in line with the vision of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s supreme leadership, the government’s action plan, and the e-government digital transformation strategy.

Al-Alawi expressed his appreciation to the leader and the Information and eGovernment Authority team for their cooperation and contributions to the digital transformation of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority, which allowed the organization to provide a wide range of services to the public. He gave an overview of the plans of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority, including how it can benefit from cloud computing technologies, adding that it was able, with the support of the Information and eGovernment Authority, to speed up transactions and save time, effort and overhead.

The Leader concluded the meeting by emphasizing the commitment of the Information and eGovernment Authority to continue cooperation with all ministries and government institutions, and to devote their resources to provide the necessary support to the Labor Market Regulatory Authority and other entities for digital transformation plans.
