ICC holds rare belongings exhibition

Manama, March 10 (BNA) The Executive Director of the Isa Cultural Center and Deputy Chairman of its Board of Trustees, Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, opened an exhibition of historical manuscripts and rare titles of various kinds that belong to the late. Amin Muhammad Al-Amer, donated by his family to the center.

The exhibition includes 15 rare books and four valuable and historical manuscripts dating back to 1553.

“This is a very important interaction between the National Library and the Bahraini community,” Sheikh Khalid said.

Amin Muhammad Al-Amer was born in 1950 in Manama. He grew up to be an avid reader and collector of books of various genres and subjects such as sociology, religion, literature and many more. The center will benefit greatly from them in expanding its library.

The International Chamber of Commerce said it encourages all those interested to contribute to enriching the center with their valuable possessions, ensuring the deepening of historical research.

The exhibition will be held in the lobby of the National Library at the center until April 2.
