Abu Dhabi, September 26 (BNA) When the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan launched the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) in Abu Dhabi in 2003, few believed that it would be a huge success locally, regionally and globally. Internationally, it has turned into a historic event for hobbyists, fans, and businesses around the world.
The late Sheikh Zayed had that insight, recognizing the importance of such an exhibition and recognizing its merit in highlighting local and regional hunting and equestrian traditions.
He ordered that the exhibition be held annually to help preserve the rich heritage, diverse traditions and authentic values that characterize the United Arab Emirates.
The upcoming exhibition in 2004 achieved great success at all levels, as it attracted large crowds and generated great enthusiasm, which prompted the organizing committees of the event, under the directives of the event’s sponsor, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Emirates Falconers Club. , to call for more achievements and successes.
The success has been phenomenal, and has increased steadily over the years. In 2019, the last edition to be held, more than 115,000 people from 124 countries around the world visited the fair, which was held on an area of 45,000 square meters with 670 exhibitors and brands.
More than 70 speakers shared ideas, narratives and experiences and more than 80 events were organized, giving more than 600 media representatives numerous opportunities for special reporting and coverage in print, electronic, audio, video and social media.
Profitable deals were awarded with a total value of more than 70 million dirhams, while the rewarded PR and advertising amounted to more than 224 million dirhams.
Besides the impressive numbers that define the remarkable success of the exhibition in 2019 and highlight its impact now on the UAE, the region and the world, the annual event has become a popular, educational, inspiring and engaging occasion for families, communities and businesses. It is also a meeting place for conservationists, hunting and equestrian enthusiasts, poets, artists, and nature and heritage photographers.
This year, the Emirates Falconers Club will organize the 18th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Falcon Fair, the largest event of its kind in the Middle East and Africa region, from 27 September to 3 October under the theme “Sustainability and Heritage…Ambition Reborn”.
The theme is in line with the UAE’s plans to celebrate the golden jubilee that will glorify the first five decades in the history of the UAE and pave the way for a brighter future, where continuous successes go hand in hand with creativity in every field.
The richness and inclusiveness of the Abu Dhabi International Food Industry Fair 2021 is represented by setting new records: the exhibition will last for seven days, instead of the usual five; There will be 680 exhibitors and brands, up from 40 in 2003, and the space will be 50,000 square meters, up from 6,000 square meters in 2003.
